What can I expect on the day

Saddle up for some sightseeing on two wheels with these Oxford Cycling Tours! The tours of the 'city of dreaming spires' are hosted by expert local guides who will show you all the main sights of Oxford (as well as some hidden corners where only bikes can go) and tell you about the history of this famous University town.

What we love about these tours is that you will certainly look the part in charming Oxford, as you will be peddling a Pashley bicycle. These classic 1920s-style bikes are all hand-built in the UK and even come complete with wicker basket at the front. During the tour there will be plenty of time to rest and take photos of iconic edifices and buildings such as the Bridge of Sighs, Oriel College, Carfax Tower and Queen's College. The tour also usually has access to one of Oxfords famous colleges including the Great Hall at Christ Church College, otherwise known as the Hogwort's dining hall.

These delightful Oxford cycling tours all call in at the Turf Tavern, a 13th century inn that is steeped in charm and history. Those choosing the 'Inspiring' tour will be invited to enjoy a drink, whilst those on the 'Premium' tour will move on to one of Oxfords finest establishments to enjoy a traditional cream tea - the perfect way to end a genteel bicycle ride around Oxford.

A delightful afternoon.
I had some misgivings at first: - the organisation had changed its phone number and the initial meeting place. We collected bicycles from old school buildings a quarter of a mile from the meeting place. The bicycles were in good condition but my helmet was a little wet with rainwater. It became apparent that we were the only customers that day so we merged with another group of three people. Their guide, Alasdair, became our guide, and I must say he was very entertaining and enlightening. Fortunately the weather was fair. The cycling was relatively easy - there was one busy roundabout to negotiate. We stopped for tea and scones in a brasserie part way round and enjoyed the convivial company of our guide and fellow cyclists.
Yes, I recommend this product.
