Very good experience but thought we had just booked it for just the four of us. There were other people in our group, however, so quite a lot of hanging around.
Yes, I recommend this product.

What can I expect on the day

Be on target with this clay pigeon shooting in East Sussex experience! A brilliant way to learn a new skill whilst appreciating the marvellous scenery that the south coast has to offer, this shooting ground offers a choice of 25 or 50 clays, you can keep this a short, sweet shooting experience or make it a more in-depth discovery of hunting techniques.

Situated on the edge of a country park a few miles inland from Eastbourne, the venue caters for all ages and abilities and is an excellent entr&>33;e into the world of clay pigeon shooting. East Sussex itself has a number of popular shooting locations, as the improved climate and flat landscape of the south-east lend themselves to outdoor activities.

Your instructor for the day is the eagle-eyed Mike Wilmshurst, who has been hitting targets since the early 1990s. He holds a Level One Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) licence and is passionate about the sport. Thanks to him, the East Sussex centre offers clay pigeon shooting to participants as young as 12, making this a superb family activity.

All your equipment and safety gear is provided and for newcomers to the sport, Mike will talk you through loading, aiming and firing a gun. Then it's out to the field, where it's up to you to shoot down either 25 or 50 clays fired from a number of traps across the expansive East Sussex site. The clays come in various shapes and sizes and are designed to mimic not just pigeons, but different birds and mammals, giving you an authentic sporting experience.

You'll usually form part of a group of up to six people and Mike will spend an equal amount of time with each of you, giving top shooting tips to help you make the most of this very countryfied pastime. If you and five friends fancy a clay pigeon shoot session here in East Sussex, you will be able to enjoy an exclusive small group experience. You could even increase the entertainment stakes by challenging each other to see who can hit the most clays!

This is the perfect gun-toting treat for someone who wants to try something different and it can even be developed into a full-time hobby. But whether as a serious session or just a bit of fun, clay pigeon shooting at East Sussex is a sure-fire way to put a smile on your face.
