What Can I Expect

Clay pigeon shooting in Hampshire is a great way of combining a fun day out with learning some new skills, so why not give it a go? This Chalky Hill centre is a fantastic place to enjoy some clay shooting amongst the Hampshire countryside, with a choice of 25 or 50 clays.

This is a brilliant activity for those new to gun sports. You'll be given a thorough safety briefing to show you how to handle your firearm without hurting yourself (brace for the recoil!) and also how to aim and shoot successfully. You'll then be shown how to track your clay pigeon targets, judging speed and direction. Then it's your turn to shoot and (hopefully) hit some clays!

Throughout all this ,you'll have a qualified instructor with you, giving you hints and tips to help you progress. All clay pigeon shooting in these well laid out Hampshire grounds includes the use of an over-and-under, semi-automatic or side-by-side shotgun, each gauge giving different advantages depending on your preferred shooting technique.

Each experience lasts around 45 minutes, giving you plenty of time to practice. On 50 clay shoots you'll enjoy one to one tuition and on the 25 clay session you'll be learning to hit the targets in Hampshire as part of a small group. The grounds themselves boast seven stands and use reliable Promatic traps for throwing clays, so there's always enough space and time for everyone taking part.

Spectators can come along too and there's hot food and drinks, parking and toilet facilities on site. There's also a barn to escape to, should the weather take a turn for the worse - though those pigeons keep flying in all weathers for your target practice!

Try one of our clay pigeon shooting in Hampshire packages and see if you've got a hidden talent for the hot-shot sport of clay shooting!
