RYA Dinghy Sailing Course, Sussex

Opting for this two day learn to sail a dinghy course means that you'll have plenty of time to get to grips with sailing your boat around Brighton or Hove. The idea behind these weekend courses is for beginners to learn to sail in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
To ensure that you progress quickly over your weekend, the student to instructor ratio is kept low (just 3:1) so you know you'll be getting plenty of quality tuition time. Weather permitting, you'll be setting sail on three-man Lazer Stratos boats. If the weather is poor, the training is switched to the more sheltered waters of Hove Lagoon using single handed Picos.
By the end of the second day you will be able to rig, launch and sail your dinghy upwind and downwind confidently in light winds. You'll finish the weekend having gained your RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Level 1 certificate. More amazing
sailing courses are available on IntotheBlue's main sailing section.

This RYA Level 1 dinghy sailing course takes place over two consecutive days at the weekend, usually 09:30 - 17:00 on day one and 09:30 - 14:00 on day two. There will normally be no more than three students to one instructor.
