Ride the waves with this RIB experience in Hampshire! This Rigid Inflatable Boat provides pure excitement on the water off the coast of Southampton. The combination of lightweight 'V'-shaped hull, horsepower and great handling, make for an experience you will never forget. Just like a water-borne sports car, a RIB speed boat is nimble, agile, fast and exhilarating.

You will have the time of your life whilst heading towards The Central Solent. (hold on tight!). The route takes you via the famous Hamble River and historic Calshot Castle which was built by Henry VIII. After some fun and games at the Brambles Bank you will finally turn for home, giving you the signature turns and stop manoeuvres.

All vessels used on this RIB experience in Hampshire are coded, insured and maintained to the high standards required for commercial operation. Your crew are highly experienced members of the search and rescue team in the area around Southampton.

The experience will include a short safety briefing and demonstration onboard the RIB. You will depart from Ocean Village Southampton out onto the Solent. The RIB adventure lasts approximate 90 minutes. There is a 10% discount on food purchased at the Pitcher & Piano restaurant in the marina on the date of the experience. Booking confirmation must be shown on arrival for the discount to be applied.


Experiences are available on selected weekdays and weekends. Half Price Offer experiences must be taken by 31st May 2012.

The minimum age is 8 years. Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult. There are no formal height restrictions but in order to reach the floor whilst seated on the ‘jockey seat’ participants should have an inside leg measurement of 24 inches. This experience can be bumpy so is not suitable for pregnant women or those suffering from a bad back or neck. Warm, outdoor clothing is recommended as well as flat soled shoes. A waterproof jacket is a good idea, even in hot weather.


There is a café at the marina as well as local supermarket. There is parking available at the marina with a small charge.
