It's not everyday you can drive an offshore racing powerboat - this experience is an absolute must for adrenalin hungry water babes who love to go at speed across seas at Southampton in Hants.

The powerboat is the real deal, racing in the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Championship (HF4S). Feel the speed and grace of one of these highly responsive racing speedboats, capable of powering through almost any water conditions at high speed, you may find the boat spends almost as much time out of the water as in it!

To really get into the flow of things, you'll be kitted out in proper racing team kit and safety gear. Your instructor/driver will more than likely be a current or past powerboat racer, so hold on tight when the throttle is unleashed to show just what these boats are capable of!

Keep up those sea legs as after your high speed powerboat ride, it's your turn to have a go at actually piloting these simply rip-roaring high speed boats. If your moves are up to scratch, you may well have the opportunity to test your skills on an offshore racing circuit, cutting through and flying above waves at a rate of knots!  Zapcat racing is also available from IntotheBlue. 

Allow spending two hours at the venue. You will be onboard for one and a half hours and spend approximately 15 minutes at the controls driving the boat.


This experience is available on selected Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays from April to October.

You must be over 16 years old, at least 5' tall and weigh no more than 17 stone to take part. Please note this experience is not suitable for those with a serious back or heart complaint or for pregnant women. Please wear jeans or shorts and training or boat shoes. Waterproof jacket, life jacket and goggles are provided. Please also bring a change of clothes - just in case. There may be up to three other people on the experience.


You are welcome to bring spectators to watch you depart from the quayside. There is a pub, cafe and restaurant on site.
