Expert windsurfing instructors will be with your every step of the way as you learn about correct equipment selection, understand how to sail with the wind, steering and turning the windsurfer on the calm waters of this lake near Poole. The centre has a full range of windsurfing gear, so you will be able to start out with a board and rig suitable for your height and build.
Even if you've never stood on a board and tried holding the windsurf boom before, all will become clear over the two days on this RYA windsurfing course in Dorset. By the end, you will have the Start Windsurfing qualification which means you have mastered sailing to a chosen point on the water and returning from whence you came as well as understanding balance, core stability, sailing, steering and turning in light winds, meaning you can make the most of a leisurely windsurf on the water.
Experience Summary: This experience is a 2 day course. It will cover the basics of windsurfing to get your started, using the correct equipment. The course ables you to sail to a chosen point on the water and return to where you started from in light winds. At the end of your course you will receive your RYA Start windsurfing certificate.

Requirements: There is a minimum age of 12 years old. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
Spectators and Facilities: Spectators are welcome to attend. They may not be able to see all of the water sports however there are plenty of attractions around the harbour. As this is a 2 day course, accommodation may be needed. Poole has a wide range of options such as campsite, guests houses and hotels.
