This one day class allow you to learn about the specialist techniques involved in producing jewellery, using a variety of silver smithing skills and specialist tools. The experienced designers will help you plan your masterpiece and then make it a reality as you create your own unique piece from raw materials.
Rachel has been creating bespoke jewellery for over 10 years. During this time, her creations have developed to reflect her own distinct natural style. As well as producing unique jewellery to sell from her shop in Hertfordshire, Rachel was commissioned to create a brooch for the Queen Mother's 100th birthday, now favoured and worn by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
After an introduction to the materials that will be used, you will work in partnership with the jewellers on a design for your piece. You will then head into the workshop where each process of production is broken down into stages. Following a detailed demonstration of each stage, you will proceed to your own work station and try it for yourself, always under the close supervision of Rachel or one of her technicians.
By the end of the workshop you will have created your own unique piece of silver jewellery to take home with you which could very well make a perfect gift to give someone you love!
