This one day flower arranging course provides you with a perfect balance of floral demonstrations and practical hands-on sessions. Run by award-winning Edinburgh florist, Jackie Thomas at her creative workshop just outside Edinburgh, you'll learn how to create the perfect arrangement and impress your friends and family with your new found fancy flower arranging skills.

The creative workshop is totally hands on and will teach you all you need to know about the essence of buying, arranging and caring for good flowers. Under expert tuition, you will be able to design and create your own arrangement which you can take home to really brighten up your home with the sumptuous colours and scents of fresh cut flowers.

Using a combination of traditional techniques and modern arrangements, your displays will become the envy of all your friends!

Enjoy a full day discovering the art of floristry, running from 1030 to 1530. Lunch and refreshments are included in the price.


The courses usually run on Saturdays, usually once every few months, each floral course has a specific theme. Places and dates can be limited on this popular course.


The courses are held in Newliston, 12 miles west of Edinburgh City Centre, five minutes from Edinburgh International Airport and? minutes from Edinburgh Station.


The courses are suitable for beginners through to those who have some previous experience of flower arranging. There are no age restrictions for this activity.


Due to the nature of the activity, it is not suitable for spectators. There is a huge variety of accommodation available in and around Edinburgh and the school will be pleased to offer advice.
