These creative glass workshops are run by a team of talented and experienced crafts people who design and create traditional and contemporary glass works at the renowned Guild in Bristol. 

The on site gallery exhibits fine examples of the work produced and the shop sells everything you need to continue your new found hobby of stained or fused glass.

Stained Glass Workshop: This two day stained glass course goes into lots of detail and provides plenty of practical sessions to improve your technique. You will learn how to cut glass then lead, solder and finish a stained glass panel and serves as a great introduction for those who wish to take up glass painting, but have not had any previous glass experience. At the end of the courses you will have created your own stained glass panel to take home.

Fusing and Slumping Workshop: Glass fusing is a wonderful technique involving melting glass together at high temperatures. Shaping, slumping (heating the glass so it forms the shape of a mould) and cold working glass creates amazing effects. Using glass fusing techniques, you can make many inspiring and beautiful products, such as decorative ornaments, lighting, plates, bowls and jewellery.

Working mainly with bullseye glass, you'll learn all the technical details and you'll be taking home a fused and slumped glass bowl to take home with you at the end of the course as well as a handbook.

The maximum group size is ten students to one instructor and nine students for the Fusing and Slumping workshop. All tools, materials and equipment are provided. Refreshments are available throughout the course. Accommodation and meals are not included.


Courses run on selected Saturdays and weekends throughout the year, usually once a month. Classes run 1000 to 1700.


The venue is near Temple Meads Train Station in Bristol.


The course is not suitable for under 16's. Please note under 18's must be supervised by an adult.


This activity is not suitable for spectators. There are toilets on site. There is a cafe nearby and supermarkets within a 5 minute drive. Close to Temple Meads Train Station, large car-park on site.
