
First Dance lessons are just the ticket if you know a couple who are worrying about that first dance on their wedding day, going to a graduation ball or just wanting to impress on that all important first date.
The dance workshops, held at dance schools countrywide, are usually made up of three 45 minute dance lessons, taught on a 1:1 basis with your experienced dance teacher, to ensure your goal is met as this is a quick, convenient and effective way of tailoring your tuition to your personal needs.
A range of styles are available: ballroom (including that traditional wedding waltz), salsa, merengue, swing, tango, rock n roll and so on. You do not need to choose your style now - it can all be done at the time of booking your lessons. Please see our main dance lessons page for information on other dance related activities.
The personal lessons are ideal for couples, but also open to individuals wanting personal one to one intensive dance instruction. The emergency dance lessons Into the Blue offer are totally flexible as you choose your venue, time and style of dance. You can learn to dance at venues across the UK, with a variety of timeslots available, including weekends.
As this experience is totally geared to your needs, you are invited to bring along the music you wish to dance to (such as that crucial first dance at the wedding reception!) and your teacher will assist with all matters of dance etiquette; from how and when to come on to the dance floor, to how and when to bring other guests on to the floor and most importantly how to stop the wedding dress ending up between the groom's knees during the dance! You can even bring a playlist along if you will be dancing to a live band and your teacher can work from the list.
The opportunities to learn, improve technique and confidence are paramount with this super-flexible and effective experience which makes for an unusual engagement gift!

Lessons can be for individuals or couples and packages consists of up to three 45 minute lessons taught on a one to one basis with a professional dance teacher (Central London Venues are 2 x 60 minute lessons). The experiences are available at over 500 centres across the UK.

Courses are very flexible and are offered at a variety of times, on different days of the week, including weekends.

As most of the classes and social events take place at licensed premises, all dancers must be at least 18 years old. There are no height or weight restrictions, but you must be mobile to make the most of the moves. Please wear casual, cool and comfortable clothing and avoid trainers, boots, sandals and shoes with a grip sole. Remember, don't worry if you feel you have 'two left feet' - these personal lessons offer the ideal environment to get to grips with dance.

This experience is not suitable for spectators - you'll just have to take the plunge and have a go yourselves!
