  • Security: Secure on-line payment is provided by Protx our online payment provider. The information you enter on the Protx site (including your credit / debit card details) is encrypted before being sent to Protx. This information is transmitted over a secure connection using SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the industry standard encryption software approved by the IEFT [Internet Engineering Task Force].

Q: I would like to buy a voucher, but I'm not totally sure which activity to go for?

A:

Into the Blue offers 'Open choice' activity gift tokens, allowing you to buy a token for any monetary amount (£50 minimum) allowing the recipient to then choose which activity they take. See the homepage for details.

Q: I have ordered an 'Open choice' activity gift token. What does the recipient have to do to redeem the token?

A: Once the recipient has chosen their activity, they should contact the Into the Blue team on 01959 578100. If the voucher is for less than the value of the chosen activity, we will organise the additional payment from you. The recipient will then be asked to send in the gift token which will be converted into a voucher for their chosen activity, valid for 12 months.

Q: Do I need to specify a date for the activity to be taken and for how long is the voucher valid?

A: No. The beauty of Into the Blue activity gift vouchers is that the voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of processing. This allows the recipient plenty of time to arrange and take their activity.

Q: What if I want a specific date?

A: You will need to email or phone our customer service team on sales@intotheblue.co.uk or 01959 578100.  The more notice you can give or the wider choice of dates the more likely it will be that you will be successful.

Q: How far in advance should I book my activity with the supplier?

A: Availability of dates varies amongst the activities. For example, some are very weather dependent such as hot air ballooning, Tiger Moth pleasure flights etc and may mostly take place in the summer months. We advise you to book a date for your chosen activity as far in advance as possible - usually four to five weeks ahead, as most suppliers already have set dates for activity days throughout the year.

Q: What happens if I have booked my date and the supplier cancels the activity?

A: From time to time this may happen, especially if an activity is weather dependent. Your voucher is valid for 12 months, so you should just re-book another date directly with the supplier.

Q: What happens if I need to cancel the date I have booked with a supplier?

A: All our suppliers have their own terms and conditions, which you are subject to once you have booked a date with them. This includes their cancellation policy, which varies from supplier to supplier. Some may allow you to transfer the date to another person, others will ask for 14 days notice of cancellation. Details of cancellation may be found on your activity gift voucher information, or by calling the supplier.

Q: I would like to buy an activity gift voucher, but I would like the voucher to be sent directly to the recipient. Is this possible?

A: Of course! We can send the voucher pack out directly to the recipient and send a letter of confirmation to you, the purchaser. We can also send the voucher pack and confirmation letter directly to the purchaser. The choice is yours! All vouchers are sent out in plain brown envelopes in case you are buying a surprise gift!

Q: The voucher is for a present - can it be personalised?

A: Yes. We ask for the recipient's full name, but on the voucher we can print whatever name you like (eg To Dad, My Darling Wife etc). You can also add a message such as 'Happy Birthday' or 'Happy Retirement'. Finally, we can add who it's from. Alternatively, fields can be left blank for you to complete.

Q: What do the vouchers look like?

A: All Activity Gift Vouchers are individually printed with the names of recipient, the purchaser and details of the activity. Each voucher comes in a presentation wallet with details of how to redeem the voucher and a description of the chosen activity.

Q: I have ordered a gift voucher. When will I receive directions to the location of the activity and confirmation of the date?

A: Once you have received the voucher from Into the Blue you can then book your date to take your chosen activity. Once you have done this, you will be sent out directions, itineraries and confirmation information before your activity date.

Q: Can we go along to the activity location and watch?

A: Most suppliers will allow spectators: some charge a fee, some offer passenger rides and refreshments. For full details, please check for each activity at each location by looking at the further information pages on this website.

Q: Are there any restrictions such as age, weight and height for activities?

A: Restrictions vary from supplier to supplier. For full details, look at the further information pages for each individual activity on this website.

Q: Do the pictures on the website show exactly what I will be doing on my chosen activity?

A: The pictures are used to illustrate the nature of the activity. Multi-location activities may vary in terms of itinerary, type of vehicle/plane/equipment used. As far as possible, the further information pages on this website give you details of the activities, but these are subject to change or substitution.

Q: Why do prices for some activities vary from location to location?

A: We use a variety of suppliers across the UK. Some may offer slightly different itineraries or equipment. For example, rally schools use different classes of cars, which affects the cost of the activity. As far as possible, we have included details of activities on the further information pages to help you decide.

Q: Can I specify more than one location for the chosen activity to be taken?

A: Yes, as long as the price is the same or less. For example, if you were booking a trial flying lesson in a modern aircraft, you could specify a variety of locations across the UK as the price is the same. Please be aware that some activities are single or specified locations. See the further information pages of this website for more information.

Q: How long does it take to process the voucher?

A: We aim to process most orders (merchandise orders excepted) on the same day provided the order is received by 2pm. If after 2pm and your order is urgent, please telephone 01959 578100 and if possible we will process your order. All vouchers packs are sent out first class Royal Mail, usually same day.

Q: Can I exchange my voucher?

A: No problem! If the replacement activity is more expensive you will have to make up the difference. If less expensive you will be given a credit to carry forward to your next Into The Blue purchase.

Can I get a refund?

A: You can change your mind and request a refund up to 7 days after placing the order with Into the Blue. Thereafter all Gift Vouchers are non-refundable. Note that refunds can only be made to the purchaser (i.e. not to the gift recipient).

Q: Is there a delivery charge?

A: We charge a nominal postage and packing charge of £1.50 and delivery is by first class Royal Mail. Should you wish to upgrade to a guaranteed next day delivery by 12 noon (Mon - Fri) (Special Delivery) this can be done at a total charge of £7.00 per order.

Q: Are there any other charges?

A: Not unless you want special guaranteed next day delivery, for which there is a supplement (please call Customer Services on 01959 578100 for details).

Q: How do I complain?

A: If the complaint relates to the activity, IT MUST BE RAISED ON THE DAY WITH THE SUPPLIER, otherwise it is almost impossible to deal with. Thereafter, the complaint should be brought to the attention of our customer service manager as soon as possible by phone, email or post. We endeavour to respond to all complaints within five working days.
