Spend a day with a perfumer and learn how sumptuous scents are composed. Perfumes have been around since ancient Egyptian times and the art of making perfumes has always been shrouded in mystery, with perfumers closely guarding their exclusive recipes. This day will give you an insight into this intriguing world and give you a 'hands on' perfume-making experience too .
Perfumes are blended using essential oils, aromas and alcohol-based solvents. The composition of a perfume can be a very simple or a complex mix and the sign of a master perfumer is one who an tell what elements make up the perfume by smelling it. Insights, anecdotes and tips will ensure your day will be a truly fascinating experience.
As well as learning all about the work of a skilled perfumer, during your day with a perfumer you too will be able to blend a special perfume and even give it your specially created name.
