Our Tiger Moth in West Sussex flies out of Shoreham airfield near Brighton and Hove, the country's oldest licensed public-serving airfield and with its art deco control tower, it's going to be a nostalgic day of flying.
This particular Tiger Moth was built by Moris Motors in 1940. After serving as a trainer and communications aircraft with RAF 312 Squadron, this DeHavilland Tiger Moth was used in aeroclubs and at aeroraces until going into hangar storage in the 60s.
After five years of restoration, the Tiger Moth at Shoreham flies again, named 'The Spirit of Pashley' after a long serving pilot instructor at the airfield. You will delight in being able to experience this magnificent flying machine capable of 109mph at 1000ft with its 120bhp DeHavilland Gipsy III piston engine, for your choice of 15, 30 or 60 minute Tiger Moth flights over the West Sussex coast and countryside.
