An amazing opportunity to enjoy a Spitfire flying experience with one of the most famous fighter aircraft stars from the Second World War, across Battle of Britain countryside in Kent. As you gather at the pre-flight meeting point, you'll feel the excitement in the air as you await the distinctive sound of the Rolls Royce Merlin 45 engined Spitfire.
The anticipation will be palpable when you climb into the luxury helicopter. As you take off, all eyes will be looking for the Supermarine Spitfire. As the 374mph Mk VB Spitfire comes into your sights, it's cameras at the ready, as you enjoy a real bird's eye view of this most sublime of military warbirds, flying directly alongside Spitfire BM597 from the Historic Aircraft Collection.
Your Spitfire flying experience continues as BM597 breaks off to perform a series of high-speed aerobatics, proving just how agile this legendary piston-engined fighter plane is. Your air to air display will last around 15 minutes. That's 15 minutes to fly with a genuine Castle Bromwich-built Spitfire that saw many years of active service on air raids and battles during WW2. This is a truly unique chance to take part in a Spitfire flying experience that will touch the hearts of any wartime aviation fan.

This WWII Spitfire experience allows you to witness a specially choreographed airborne Spitfire display from the comfort of an executive Helicopter. As well as flying straight and level alongside you the spitfire will also perform breathtaking high speed aerobatics and flypasts. The helicopter flight lasts approximately 20 minutes with a 15 minute synchronised display from the Spitfire. You'll enjoy a unique vantage point to capture spectacular views and photographs of the aircraft in flight. You may be forming part of a group of 6 passengers. You may be able to reserve the front seat next to the pilot for an additional fee, payable on site. A mounted signed photograph will be presented to each guest as a reminder of their experience. Flights are scheduled to take place on selected weekends from March to October. The tours are subject to both weather conditions and the serviceability of the aircraft. Should there be a problem with the Spitfire, a back up aircraft e.g. Hurricane, Mustang or Kittyhawk may be offered as an alternative. In this situation you will always be offered the choice of taking the tour on your booked date or returning when the Spitfire is available.

Flights depart from helipads in East Kent. Sites such as Hythe, Lydd, Rochester and Manston are used subject to the current location of the aircraft.

There are no age restrictions, maximum passenger weight is 95Kg (210lbs). Guests will fly in a six seater helicopter - at no point do guests fly in the Spitfire.

Spectators are welcome to watch the departure and arrival of the helicopter. The Spitfire will be passing overhead so spectators will have a chance to see the aircraft in action - binoculars are recommended.
