A professional parachute training facility in the picturesque North Shropshire countryside near Whitchurch, this Drop Zone is less than an hour from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, the Black Country and most of north and mid Wales.

A Cessna 206 aircraft is used at this venue with a capacity of five jumpers for static or tandem jumps and they can be recorded on video for an extra fee payable on the day. Provisional membership to the British Parachute Association is included with each jump.

Tandem Jump -  Because the instructor takes control of vital functions during the jump such as opening the tandem parachute and landing, your preparation for the jump takes 30 minutes.  Weather permitting you will exit from the aircraft from around 10,000 feet, experiencing 30 seconds of freefall which is quite a rush.  Your canopy ride starts at about 5,000 feet.

Static Line Jump -  Modern advances in parachute design mean that it is now possible to jump a ram-air "square" canopy on your first jump.  You will leave the aircraft from around 3,500 feet;  a static line activates the canopy automatically.  Now test your judgement in guiding the wing to the correct landing area before trying your hand at landing like an expert.  The static line parachute jump course includes a full days intensive training and your first jump.  The course starts at 0800 and lasts for about eight hours.  Your jump will be made on the same day as your training (weather permitting), usually between 1700 and sunset.
This Shropshire parachuting centre runs all year round, weather permitting. Parachuting and Skydiving activities are also available nationwide on the main parachute jumps page.
Parachutists need a reasonably high standard of physical fitness and must not be overweight in relation to their sex, age and height.  Please note that the minimum age for parachuting is 16 and the maximum age is 55 for RAPS. Anyone under 18 must have written consent of a parent or guardian. The upper age limit for tandem skydivers is 70.  No pets are allowed on site. Maximum weight 14 stone/89 kg for tandem, 14.5 stone/92kg for static line. Anyone aged 40 or over or anyone with a medical condition must have a Parachute Medical Certificate signed by a doctor.
This parachuting activity in Shropshire has a canteen on site serving hot and cold food and drinks. There are toilet facilities on site along with a viewing area for spectators. Spectators are welcome to come and watch but no pets or animals are allowed on site. There is a no smoking policy in some areas of the site. A video of your jump can be purchased on site for £90 (subject to availability) but must be pre-booked when you choose your date.
