Parachuting Experience in Northants
Location Northamptonshire - Would you like to jump out of a plane on a parachute jump? We've often wondered just what drives people to want to do this, but it seems we cannot get enough of high-adrenalin antics these days and skydiving from our Northamptonshire base has to be one of the ultimate!
This venue near Brackley in Northants, offers both tandem skydives and the Accelerated Freefall Level One course. And the difference between the two? Put simply, AFF courses take longer and cost more as there's a full day of one to one tuition to prepare you for your solo parachute jump. A freefall tandem means you enjoy the ride, whilst the instructor you're attached to (literally) handles everything after you jump from the plane.
Whichever experience you choose, by the end of the day you'll know what it's like to fall through the air at around 120mph...faster than most cars are capable of going!
Experience Summary: Tandem jumps - after a short briefing you will take to the skies at altitudes of up to 13'000 ft. You are securely strapped to your instructor who will control the entire skydive for you. Allow spending up to three hours on site.
AFF Level One - commences with a full day of classroom instruction followed by your first freefall skydive from 13'000ft. During the freefall phase your instructor will give in-air tuition and be on hand to ensure your safety at all times. You will control and land your own parachute.
Provisional membership to the British Parachute is included with both jumps along with a personalised certificate.
Availability: Jumps operate Tuesday to Sunday, all year round subject to weather conditions. Sessions usually begin at 8.30am or 12.30pm. Sometimes AFF jumps will need to take place the day after training.
Location: Northamptonshire. The parachute school is located near Brackley in Northamptonshire with easy access via junction 10/11 of the M40.
Requirements: Maximum weight is 15 stone, minimum age is 16, over 40's will need doctors approval, maximum age for AFF is 55. There is no maximum age limit for tandem jumps.
Spectators and Facilities: This Northants club welcomes spectators but no pets are allowed. There is a clubhouse and snack bar providing hot/cold drinks and food. There are also toilets, showers and camping facilities on site. There is always a cameraman onsite to record their ultimate day out and videos can be ordered directly with the supplier on the day, with prices starting from £95.
