Parachute and Freefall Training in Suffolk / Norfolk border
This parachuting school near Ellough in Suffolk has been in operation for over 25 years. Based at a Beccles Airfield this friendly aviation centre takes advantage of the uncongested airspace on the Norfolk - Suffolk border. The team of enthusiastic, professional instructors and great facilities make this an ideal venue for parachute and freefall training. It is accessible from London via the M11 and A11. Experience summary: Jumps take place at heights of up to 13,000ft. A 15 seater, Turbine Cessna Caravan aircraft will normally be used to fly up to jumping altitude.
Provisional membership to the British Parachute Association is included with each jump.
Availability: This drop zone is in operation seven days a week.
Location: Ellough on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, near Lowestoft.
Requirements: The upper weight limit for AFF/Tandem jumps is 15.5 stone. You need to be in good health with average fitness for AFF jumps. You do not need to be in excellent health to do a tandem jump. This operator has taken many people who are wheelchair users. If you are over 40 you will need a doctor's stamp on a medical form (this will be sent with the information pack). If you are over 16 (minimum age) and under 18, you will require parent/guardian permission. There is no upper age limit for these types of skydive, however, special permission needs to be obtained if you are aged 50 or over.
Spectators and Facilities: There are toilets, changing facilities, showers and disabled toilets on site. There is a licensed bar and diner on site providing hot and cold food and drinks. A DVD recording of tandem jumps can be made at a cost of £99 payable on the day but must be booked in advance. Spectators are more than welcome to come and watch and you can make use of the facilities and watch the action from the viewing area.
