Helicopter Experience over London
A helicopter sight seeing tour is one of the best ways to see the sights of London. To truly appreciate London, jump in a helicopter and see our Capital city from the air. Your flight experience will last a guaranteed 15 minutes and provides you with a full view of London as soon as you take off. Lifting off from the helipad your experienced pilot will follow the River Thames flying at approx 1500ft, providing you with panoramic views of London, including close viewing of the QE2 Bridge, Thames Barrier, O2 Millenium Dome, Canary Wharf and subject to air traffic restrictions, Greenwich.
Your return flight will follow a similar route so no matter which side of the helicopter you are seated, you'll miss nothing of London's splendour. Experience Summary: You will get a guaranteed 15 minutes airborne covering many of the famous sights of London from the QE2 bridge to Canary Wharf and subject to air traffic, Greenwich. The route maybe altered by Air Traffic Control. Flights will usually take place in a six passenger seat Bell Long Ranger.
Availability: Flights take place on regular Saturdays and Sundays each month throughout the year. All flights are subject to weather conditions. Morning and afternoon flights are usually available.
Location: Flights depart from Damyns Hall airfield near Upminster, just 5 minutes drive from junction 30 of the M25 or Upminster Tube and Mainline Railway station.
Requirements: Passengers must be physically able to enter and exit the aircraft unaided. Children must be able to sit in their own seat. There are no height or weight restrictions, however the operator will need to be informed of any passengers over 16 stone when booking. Please be aware that this flight will not go further West than Greenwich so although key landmarks such as the London Eye and Tower Bridge may be visible you will not fly directly over them.
Spectators and Facilities: Spectators are welcome to come and watch take off and landing and take photographs. There is a marquee at the heli pad providing an excellent view of departure and arrival. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided.
