See the sights from the air on this West Sussex Castles Tour by helicopter! Flying out from the historic Goodwood Aerodrome near Chichester, you'll enjoy a 30 minute helicopter sightseeing tour that'll see you hovering right over some of the finest castles and most recognisable sights in West Sussex.
Cruising in the helicopter at around 1500ft you'll be privy to a unique viewpoint from which to admire local landmarks. One of the most impressive from the air is Arundel Castle, a restored Medieval castle founded on Christmas Day in 1067 by Roger de Montgomery. It is now a Grade I listed castle and home to the Norfolk family. Seeing the beautifully manicured lawns as you gaze out of the helicopter windows is a truly amazing image that you'll cherish.
The helicopter will then pass by Amberley Castle, also in West Sussex. Now a posh country hotel, this castle, built as a 12th century manor house and then fortified in 1377, is truly romantic and very pretty.
As well seeing the two West Sussex castles on this tour, your helicopter will also zoom past the likes of Goodwood and Fontwell Park Racecourses, the Cathedrals at Arundel and Chichester, Petworth and Goodwood Houses, as well as the stunning South Downs and the coastline of West Sussex. A really memorable day out for anyone with connections to or who simply loves the area.
