Fly a microlight in East Sussex with a dash of Italian flair! This is no ordinary microlight experience. For a start you'll be taking off from a private airfield near Heathfield in the leafy heart of East Sussex (so no busy runways to deal with!) and secondly, you'll be accompanied by Domenico Cioffi - your flamboyant Italian instructor!
Domenico is passionate about microlights and has been flying them since the late 1990s and he will be only too pleased to let into this wonderful world of ultralight aviation. Expect a personal welcome from the Chief Flying Instructor himself and a hearty explanation of the microlight and its controls.
Only three axis (or fix wing) aircraft are used at this airfield and these vary in design with either a side by side seat configuration or a tandem style. And, depending on which model you fly in, the engine might be at the front or the rear of the microlight. We're sure Domenico will delight in explaining how each different type works.
As well as a 20, 45 or 60 minute microlight experience you can enjoy a 'land away' experience from this airfield, which will see you take off from East Sussex, touch down at another local airstrip and then take off again to head back home. More amazing
microlight experiences are available on our main microlights section.

The landaway options allow you to experience two take offs and landings as you'll fly to a different airfield, have a well earned break, and then fly back again. Flight times are quoted 'chock to chock'.

Lessons take place on weekdays and weekends (weather permitting) throughout the year.
