Helicopter Training in Hertfordshire
Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Helicopter training at this airfield in Hertfordshire is serious stuff, with a unique advisory and guidance service for anyone wishing to become a pilot. No need to be apprehensive about your taste of helicopter training though, these taster flights are informative, but fun at the same time, ideal for someone who has never even stepped into a chopper, or for those more serious about embarking on helicopter training.
Either way, you'll be introduced to your pilot and the helicopter, having time for an excellent in-depth briefing, so whether you want to know how the rotors work to keep the chopper in the air, or you want to talk more technical and discuss the differences between rigid, semi-rigid and fully articulated rotor systems, the pilot is there to answer your questions.
After take off from the helipad, you will have the chance to take over the controls. Flight times are from engine start up to shut down, so you will have plenty of time to experience what it's like to be the pilot and you may even try a few classic heli manoeuvres such as hovering!
Experience Summary: 30/30 flights provide 30 minutes of flying time in a 2 seater helicopter, a half hour pre flight briefing, a personalised certificate and flying log. 60/60 flights provide an extended 60 minute pre flight briefing and one hour of flying time. A certificate and log are also included. IntotheBlue also offer a dedicated learn to fly a helicopter course designed to teach you flying skills towards your Pilots licence.
On both experiences your pilot will demonstrate the controls on the aircraft before letting you try your hand at flying the helicopter yourself. Flight times are from engine start up to shut down.
