Take a helicopter flying lesson and enjoy the thrill of rotary flight at this centre in the heart of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. With a wealth of vouchers on offer, you can go for anything from a 20 minute taster to a full day helicopter challenge giving you three 45 minute flights.
No matter which experience you choose, you will be getting a helicopter flying lesson under expert supervision. Whether you just want to realise your dream to hover in a chopper or your aim is to make your own vertical take offs and landings, this centre has all the helicopter flying lesson options you could dream of.
All experiences offer an insight into the helicopter company's extensive facilities from engineering hangars to aircraft handling and sales as well as a ground briefing before your helicopter flying lesson. All flight times quoted are from when the rotor blades are started to being switched off and all experiences offer hands on flying time.

Experience Summary: All experiences include a welcome, 20 minute briefing and your chosen flight time where you will experience hands on helicopter flying and take the controls under expert supervision. Flight times are measured from start up to shutdown. You will be presented with a flight certificate (if your instructor thinks you've earned it)
On the Half Day Challenge you'll have your own instructor and helicopter for the morning or afternoon, including briefings and two flights of approximately an hour each.
The Ultimate Flying Day provides you with an instructor for the day along with briefings, study guide, flying logbook and three flights of approximately 45 minutes each.
All flights can be counted towards the 45 hours required to obtain a licence
Availability: Flights are usually available all year round subject to weather conditions
Location: Gloucestershire Airport in the heart of the Cotswolds, just off junction 10/11 of the M5.
Requirements: Minimum age is 14, maximum height is 6'4", maximum weight 16 stone.
Spectators and Facilities: Spectators are welcome to come and watch the action from the clubhouse or lawn which provide great views across the airfield. The airport has a restaurant serving hot and cold food and beverages. There is also an aviation museum at the airfield. The aircraft used here are 2 seaters so unfortunately there's no room for passengers.
