Gliding in Warwickshire

Experience summary: Each glider aerotow gives between a 15 and 30 mins flight time depending on the weather conditions. If the allocated flight duration is met on the first launch additional launches may not take place. Day courses provide three aerotows from 2000ft, this option can also be taken in a motor glider which will provide at least an hour of glider experience flight time in total. If powered flight appeals we have a number of nationwide flying lessons with many more flying experiences available on our main flying page.

Availability: Weather permitting, the gliding centre operates seven days a week from spring to autumn and during suitable weekends during winter.

Location: Warwickshire, the airfield is halfway between Stratford and Evesham, with access from the A46.

Requirements:  The minimum age is 14, maximum height 6'3" and maximum weight 16.2 stone for motorised and launched gliding experiences.

Spectators and Facilities: Spectators are very welcome and there is a café on site which serves breakfast, snacks and light lunches during the main gliding season between March and September. There are toilets, shower facilities and a camping/caravan site at the club.  There are plenty of local B&B's within walking distance of the airfield and with the lovely Cotswold villages and Stratford just minutes away, why not make a weekend of your glider experience?
