If becoming a pilot is a real ambition, our special pilot lessons pack provides the perfect introduction, with five one hour lessons at venues nationwide. If you simply just want to 'have a go', we've got
single flying lessons too.
This is a fully hands-on course, in which you will learn about the essentials of flying and flight preparation, as well as negotiating a series of take-off and landing manoeuvres in five one hour lessons with a professional pilot instructor.
The pilots package includes your lessons, a log book and aircraft inspection checklist - in fact, everything you need to start your training to gain your private pilots licence (PPL), to be able to hire and fly light aircraft. Imagine being able to take off and have a superb mini daytrip in a light aircraft piloted by you!

This pilot starter pack provides a series of five 1 hour lessons, a pilots log book and aircraft inspection checklist. The times quoted for are 'chock to chock', ie. from when the plane starts to taxi to when it switches off at the end of the flight. All
lessons start with a safety briefing with your pilot in addition to the flying time.

All pilot lessons are weather dependent and are usually available on weekdays and weekends throughout the year.

Cornwall - Bodmin
Kent - Biggin Hill
Yorkshire - Beverley

All five lessons must be taken at the same location. The minimum age is 14 years old. Minimum height is 4'6", maximum 6'4" with a maximum weight of 14 stone (some clubs may be able to take up to 16 stone by arrangement). Trainee pilots will need to provide two forms of identity including a photo id, e.g. a passport . Additional lessons will need to be purchased to complete a Private Pilots Licence - your chosen flying school will be able to advise you on costs.

Friends and family are welcome to come and watch your first forays into becoming a pilot from the ground. Aviation clubs offer different levels of facilities, however most have a clubhouse providing toilets, viewing areas and refreshments.

All pilot lessons take place at Civil Aviation Authority approved centres.
