What Can I Expect
Get in amongst the aviation 'big boys' on these flying lessons in Exeter! The airport at Exeter is based at Clyst Honiton and boasts an eclectic mix of flying, including international scheduled flights, cargo operations and light aircraft lessons - so you'll be in amongst them all.
You will meet with your flight instructor, where you will receive a pre-flight briefing covering the key elements of your flight, together with a safety briefing. Once you take-off, you will be listening for those magic words “You have control”, at which point you are in control of the aircraft.
You will be taught how to use the aircraft’s basic controls whilst over some of the loveliest countryside in Devon. You’ll be taking in everything from the Jurassic coastline to the moors, coupled with the excitement of flying on your lesson out of bustling Exeter International Airport.
When Is It Available
- Available 7 days a week throughout the year
- Flights begin at 10:15, 13:00 and 14:45, however please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes early for briefing
- All flights are subject to weather conditions and availability
- Due to popularity it is recommended you book well in advance to avoid disappointment
- You must call on the morning of your flight to check that weather conditions are suitable

Suitable For
- Minimum age 10 subject to the participant being able to fit in the plane and reach the pedals/controls
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
- Maximum combined weight is 25 stone for four seater flights
Spectators
- Spectators are welcome to view the take off and landing
- Refreshments and waiting facilities for guest are available in the terminal
- One spectator can enjoy a back seat flight for an additional charge,payable on the day (subject to the maximum combined weight limit and at the pilots discretion)
