Four Seater Flying Classes

If you want to take your flying lesson in style, then these one hour trial classes in a four seater aircraft are a great choice, with venues available nationwide. Depending on the discretion of the pilot, a friend or family member might be able to sit in the back and, using the headphones, listen in as you and your instructor take your flight.

Before you actually get to go flying, there's the safety briefing. Once taken off, airborne and level, your instructor will hand over controls to you and you'll be flying the plane for real! These 60 minute classes give you plenty of time to really get an idea of what piloting a light aircraft is all about and may even persuade you to continue these flying classes to gain your Private Pilots Licence! 

Into the Blue offers flying experiences in four seater aircraft at aero clubs all over the UK, as well as a variety of other two seater aircraft flying lessons. What's more, there's no need to decide before buying the voucher, the recipient can choose before booking.

The flying times are quoted in 'chock to chock', ie. from when the plane starts to taxi to when it switches off at the end of the flying. The class briefing will be in addition to this. Some flight centres will also include a personalised certificate.

Flying classes are usually available on weekdays and weekends throughout the year, depending on favourable weather conditions.

The minimum age for the flight is 14 years old. Minimum height is 4'6", maximum 6'4". The maximum weight in the four-seater plane is 18 stone. Flyers need to provide two forms of identity including a photo id, e.g. a passport prior to their flying classes.

Visitors are welcome to come and watch the take off and landing. It may be possible for a friend or family member, who is also interested in flying classes, to sit in the back of the plane and listen in on headphones (min age 14). This is at the discretion of the instructor on the day.

All flying classes take place at Civil Aviation Authority approved clubs.
