Flying from Durham Tees Valley airport (formerly known as Teesside International Airport) means you'll get to see some of the wonderful county of Durham and maybe even the Lakes from the air. However, it's not just about admiring the view from the cockpit, these are trial lessons, so you'll be invited to fly the dual-controlled plane too.
Your lesson starts with a meet and greet (Eric Reed is Chief Flying Instructor and he has a team of highly qualified flying instructors), followed by an on the ground safety briefing in one of the school's training rooms. Once the basic principles of flight and the controls have been explained to you, it's time to plan the route. Only then are you ready to head out onto the tarmac to enjoy a flight in a modern Piper light aircraft - don't forget your camera!
