Weekday Morning Balloon Flight in Kent

Enjoy going up in a hot air balloon in Kent! There's nothing quite so serene as an early morning hot air balloon flight floating over the magnificent countryside of the Garden of England. As the sunshine rises over the horizon you'll be floating up, up and away over Kent for a truly unforgettable experience. These balloon flights in Kent mean an early start but believe us it will be totally worth it when you are gently floating through the clear morning air. Choose from a weekday (Monday to Friday) morning during the flying season, April to October.

The team, headed by husband and wife Michael and Louisa, specialise in hot air balloon flights over the beautiful Kent countryside and their aim is to offer a friendly, yet highly professional approach to hot air ballooning. Chief Pilot Michael has been flying over Kent since he first became a hot air balloon Pilot in 1998 and with his excellent knowledge of the area and informative in-basket commentary, he will regale you with some superb anecdotes during your trip.

The experience starts with meeting the balloon team as they start to prepare for the flight. Watch as the burners slowly and gracefully inflate the balloon and basket upright and then climb aboard for balloon ride of your life. A few more blasts of the burners and the ground is slipping away, roads shrink, houses become dolls houses and the colours of the fields and Kent countryside come to the fore as you rise up in the cool morning air.

Once airborne , you might float gracefully past Leeds Castle, or head over the majestic Canterbury Cathedral. To capture the moment on film the balloon is kitted with an onboard camera, making for excellent photos of the balloon and you in the basket. These are available to view and purchase after your flight. 

Once back on Terra Firma you'll be invited to enjoy a champagne toast, or you can opt for a cold glass of Spitfire ale, as the Kent-based brewery sponsors the biggest hot air balloon in its magnificent red livery. You can even volunteer to help pack away the hot air balloon with the team or enjoy the champagne! This Balloon operator specialises in Kent Balloon flights and this voucher is valid for weekday (Monday to Friday) morning flights from April till October, weather permitting. Meeting times for morning flights are usually between 6am and 7am. If conditions are not suitable on the day then your flight can be rescheduled to a later date. *Weather insurance is offered as standard so if you are unlucky enough to have your flight cancelled on 5 occasions due to unsuitable weather conditions your Flight Voucher will be extended for a further period of 3 months by the operator.

Please note that the launch site will be chosen by your pilot on the day of the flight according to the wind direction.  All launch sites are easy to get to and most are within 3 miles of a motorway junction.

There are no age limits, you need to be fit enough to climb into the basket and stand for an hour. Children over the age of 7 are welcome but they must be over 1.4m / 4'6" high. Under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You cannot fly if you are suffering from any serious medical condition or are pregnant. Camera's and binoculars are a good idea however personal possessions are carried at your own risk.

You are welcome to bring family and friends to watch the launch.  If you have a large group of spectators we would recommend they stay behind for a picnic or visit the nearest pub, as congestion can often be caused on narrow country roads with a long queue of vehicles following the balloon!  Please note that we only have space for passengers in the retrieve vehicles.  Sometimes the champagne celebration will be held back at the launch site to allow friends and family to join in with the experience.
