Slingsby Firefly Aerobatic Experience Gloucs

The Slingsby Firefly is a British built modern two seat training aircraft and this aerobatic experience takes off from the base in Gloucestershire. 

This highly manoeuvrable aircraft has been used all over the world to train military pilots and offers the fantastic bonus of sitting the instructor and passenger side by side so you can see exactly how the pilot gets you hanging from your straps.

This Firefly is capable of inverted flight - you have been warned! All is not lost however, as we also offer a choice of more traditional flying lessons for the less demanding flyers out there!  

Outstanding performance and aerobatic capability, side by side seating configuration, g limits +6g and -3g.  Max level speed 150mph.  Power 160bhp.

Introduction Flights last approximately 25 minutes chock to chock and include a selection of manoeuvres. Extended flights last approximately 35 minutes and include a full range of aerobatics.  During the flight you'll get the chance to take the controls yourself. After your flight you will be presented with a personalised certificate, a photograph and flight notes.

Flights are available every day (except Christmas) subject to weather conditions.

The airfield is located between Gloucester and Cheltenham adjacent to the M5 easily accessible from junction 11.

Min age 11, min height 4'6", max height is 6'.  Max weight is 15 stone.

Spectators are welcome to watch, there is a restaurant at the airfield selling hot and cold food and drink.
