Our Essex venue near Epping boasts a top of the range T67M260 Slingsby Firefly, eager to take you up into the big blue sky to pull some big aerobatic manoeuvres..the only question is, are you ready?!

It might look like quite a modest little two seater, but these military training planes are armed with a 260hp engine, making them easily capable of performing amazing aerobatic manoeuvres. Of course, the Firefly isn't the only plane capable of executing tricks in the air - we've got loads of high performance aerobatic flights.

A  fully qualified aerobatic instructor will take you on your flight to remember and if all goes well, you'll be doing some loops, rolls, vertical climbs and much more!

The Slingsby Firefly in Essex has side by side seating configuration, can touch g limits +6g and -3g and has a max level speed of 172 mph with 260bhp.

Experience summary: The aerobatic flights last approximately 20 minutes, chock to chock and you should allow spending an hour at the venue. The pilot will usually let you take the controls for a short while.

Availability: the Firefly operates all year round, when weather conditions allow, with weekday and weekends slots usually available. As this is a weather dependent activity, any flights cancelled due to adverse weather conditions can be re-booked.

Location:  the Firefly flies out of its airfield in Essex, near Epping, with good access from both the M25 and M11.

Requirements: The minimum age for going flying is 18. Maximum weight 14 stone and maximum height 6'2". It is recommended that you don't have a heavy meal or drink any alcohol before your flight. 

Spectators and Facilities: Spectators are welcome to come along, however views of the flight are limited.

Note : All pilots are fully qualified in training pilots for aerobatics. IntotheBlue has a range of hands-on flying lessons and taster lessons for the less adventurous.
