Ripping it up in a tank and military vehicle driving style in bonny Scotland! You'll really get into the army and military theme at this place. As soon as you arrive it's straight into base camp to get kitted out in camouflage gear, complete with kevlar helmet and war paint on your face so you're ready to hang out with the tanks and military mean machines.
Attention! Both of these experiences offered here are on a one to one basis - so expect loads of driving time all for yourself. Your friendly Field Marshall will be on hand to show your the controls of the vehicles, so at least you'll have some idea before you clamber into the driving seat. Seriously though, just because it's a massive 18 tonne tank doesn't mean it's that complicated to drive. So the gauntlet is down to see if you've got what takes to drive the tank around the Scottish countryside.
And what's more, these sessions are not just about having a quick go in the tank. You will be driving for at least half an hour, giving you the time to take a test drive of these amazing tracked vehicles on the flat course, before trundling towards the purpose-built courses - one with smaller bumps to plough over and one with some serious obstacles to tackle in your big mean military tank.
If you choose the 'Multi vehicle driving' voucher, you will enjoy your tank driving as well as sessions in the mini minster truck and the Puch jeep, all on the challenging off road circuit. Of course, the aim of the game is to get as much of the Scottish mud wrapped around the vehicles as possible.
As long as you return the tank and military vehicles you've driven in one piece, washed and valeted inside and out (joke), you'll be presented with your brave soldier certificate to commemorate your sheer excellence in driving the tank around this fabulous site in Scotland. And don't forget, you can invite friends and family to join in the fun by riding as passengers in the tank with the purchase of a 'Commander ticket' on the day.
Multi vehicle experiences allow you to drive three military vehicles. You will drive a Tank around a challenging obstacle track, a mini monster truck through deep mud and a military 4x4 Puch jeep really putting your off roading skills to the test. Major General experiences allow you to drive an 18 tonne tank. After a briefing on how to control the vehicle you will head out on flat drive terrain before tackling larger humps and even water. Both experiences are under one to one personal tuition with just you and the instructor and both include a certificate of achievement once you have completed the experience. Please allow one hour onsite for the Major General experience and two hours onsite for the Multi vehicle driving.
Experiences are available on both weekday and weekend dates and are subject to availability.
Car crush experiences take place in Dundee in Northeast Scotland. There is easy access to Dundee and Perthshire city centres as well as major motorway networks.
The minimum age is 14 and all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. You must be over 5ft to drive the vehicles. Upon arrival you will be equipped with your camouflage cladding, face paint and Kevlar helmet.
Spectators are welcome. 'Commander' tickets can be purchased on the day allowing you to bring along friends and family to ride in the tank with you and enjoy the experience from the rear seats. Also included with the 'Commander' voucher is full commando training, camouflage cladding and face paint,the opportunity to stand out of the commanders hatch navigating the driver and access to the secret observation bunker. Vouchers range from £10-£20 depending on age and are suitable for ages 5-17+.
