Truck Driving in East Kent
We just don't know what it is about this experience, but when we saw the photo of the Army Truck it just made us want to sing the theme tune to that fab 1980's TV show the A Team! Okay, so you might not be saving the world from crooks and criminals like the A Team heroes, but this Bradford truck is bold, beefy and big fun to drive as you go trundling through the Kent countryside.
The experience starts with a safety briefing and sign in, closely followed by a quick cup of tea, as everyone knows you can't step behind the wheel of a truck before you've had a good cuppa. As this truck is probably quite different to anything you have ever driven before, the instructor will take you on a quick demo ride to show you the controls and techniques.
Then it's your turn to take to the wheel and try and tame the Bedford beast. You'll be using low gears and slow speed control to traverse side slopes, go up and down steep banks and more. This experience is taught on a one to one basis, meaning you'll have lots of time behind the wheel. If you're good enough, you'll end up driving the instructor demo course yourself.
