This lively little Lotus Elise sports car will bring a smile to any drivers face. Whether a hardened car nut or a first timer, this car is light and easy to drive. When you add a skilled instructor and a fun circuit in Oxon to race around to the mix , you end up with a thrilling, fast and enjoyable experience.
The Lotus Elise is a two seat open sports car, renowned for its lightweight design and race handling. Conceived in early 1994 and introduced in September 1995, it is named after the then Lotus Chairman Romano Artioli's granddaughter, 'Elisa'. The car has a hand finished fibreglass body shell atop its innovative aluminium extrusion frame that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. This agile vehicle boasts 160bhp, double wishbone suspension front and rear, a weight of only 740kgs, power to weight 217bhp/ton, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, max speed 135 mph.
After letting the instructor show you the layout of the track on a demo lap, you will drive four thrilling laps of this 1.5 mile course. The circuit is designed to allow you to experience the acceleration, cornering poise and outright speed of this modern legend. The bonus of this airfield site is that only the cones get damaged if you overcook it or miss an apex rather than the unforgiving barriers at a race circuit. There are no artificial rev or speed limits. The experienced, friendly instructors will determine your individual driving ability and then help you drive up to your limit providing you with constant feedback and advice.
Your experience ends with the collection of a personalised certificate and driving assessment.
