The cars used for this activity are the front wheel drive Mini Cooper and the four wheel drive Subaru Impreza WRX.  The instructors at this school are real rally drivers with driving experience from events all over the world - the rally school owner was a mentor to the late, great Richard Burns so should be able to teach a thing or two!  This experience offers great value for money as the ratio of students to instructors is kept low, ensuring you never have to wait long before being behind the wheel of the car again.

The course starts with a welcome and driving theory session.  Once kitted out with a helmet your instructor will take you out to show you the 1.2 mile tarmac stage, then it's your turn to take to the wheel of the front wheel drive Mini Cooper and learn all about racing lines, braking points and driving techniques, by the end of the session you will be making real progress as both your confidence and speed grow.  After a short break it's back into the mini for another session honing your skills on the high speed tarmac stage.

The it's time for a change of pace as you move onto the high performance, turbo charged, two litre, Subaru Impreza WRX.  These four wheel drive supercars provide the driving experience of a lifetime.  Your new improved driving ability can now be put to the test.  Throughout the experience your instructor will be guiding you around the course offering advice on how to develop your driving techniques.  Following a short break you will be back in the Subaru for another practice and the all important timed lap and driving assessment.  Your half day course finishes with a de-brief and a written appraisal of your driving skills from the instructors for you to take home with you.  In total you will be in the cars for approximately 60 minutes.

Experience Summary:  The course lasts around four hours and includes welcome and driving brief, demonstration laps on the 1.2 mile tarmac stages, two driving sessions in the Mini, two driving sessions in the Subaru, timed lap, debrief and written driving assessment.  There is a ratio of three drivers to one instructor.  In total you will be in the cars for approximately 60 minutes.

Availability:  Sessions run 0900 - 1300 and 1300 - 1700 on selected weekdays and most Saturdays throughout the year.

Location:  The venue is situated four miles north of Gainsborough, just off the A1.

Requirements:  Drivers must hold a full valid driving licence.

Spectators and Facilities:  Spectators are welcome to come and watch.  There are toilet facilities on site.
