Head into the hairpins at full speed on this half day rally in Essex! This friendly rally school just north of Stansted operates on a former airfield circuit, meaning you'll be getting to grips with concrete, loose dirt and gravel surfaces.
Your half day of rallying action starts with a welcome and driver briefing before you head off to get kitted out with a helmet. You'll then be taken to the pits to see the cars you'll be driving. The line up will be decided on the day, but you'll be driving one rear wheel drive and one front rear wheel drive rally car. All the cars used are fully race-prepped and can range from a Vauxhall Astra to a Ford Sierra.
For your first go on the track you'll be on a familiarisation lap so you can get a feel for the route and have the braking and turning points explained to you. Then you'll enjoy another four laps to really get into the rallying groove as you take on those long straights, sweeping corners and hairpins.
Then it's time for the second car. By now you know the circuit a bit better and can really start to hone those newly found rally driving skills. Each lap you do will be tighter, faster and more stylish with a few powerslides and even handbrake turns thrown in too. As you roll into the pits after lap five, you've still got one more thrill left - the high speed passenger ride.
This half day Essex rally experience is a great choice for anyone who wants to give rallying in fully prepared cars a go, especially if they like the classic rally cars with long-held reputations are being able to eat up the gravel, like the Ford Escort MkII or the Peugeot 205.

Half day sessions last approximately two and half hours including:
- Welcome and safety briefing
- Introduction to the car controls and rally driving skills
- 1 familiarisation driving lap plus 4 full laps learning slides and handbrake turns
- Swap vehicles before driving 5 laps in the second rally car
- High speed passenger ride with your instructor driving
- Debrief and presentation of score card and certificate
