Segway Sherwood Forest

Enjoy a segway experience along the woodland paths of Sherwood Forest in Nottingham! These little two-wheeled personal transporters are pretty odd looking and it's not as easy as it looks, but given just a few minutes to get the hang of it you'll soon be whizzing along.

This venue, in the heart of Sherwood Forest, uses the Segway X2, which is the most robust, offroading version, so you'll make mincemeat of those forest trails and bumpy paths. And no, you won't just be let loose on these gutsy Segways, so the experience starts with a one to one instruction session to get you started.

Once you have the controls all sorted, each Segway rider has to demonstrate they are in control of their ride, by starting, stopping and steering around carefully placed golf balls on a segway slalom course before being able to progress to the woodland paths. 

As you head out on these paths you'll love the freedom of movement the Segway X2 gives you as you glide through the ferny glades. Your segway session will begin with a full instruction and safety briefing. You will then get to grips with the unique controls of the X2 segway before setting off on your journey around the specialised track through woodlands and off road terrain. Sessions last approximately 1 hour with 25 to 30 minutes riding time. You may form part of a group of up to 8 people with a maximum of three segways on the circuit at any time. Protective headgear is provided. There may be some waiting time depending on your group size.

- Sessions operate on the first Sunday of every month
- Groups of 6+ can be accommodated seven days a week throughout the year at various times (subject to availability)

This experience is situated in 150 acres of Woodland, in North Nottinghamshire.

There is a minimum age of 12 years old. Under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult. No previous experience is required however riders must demonstrate adequate control of the Segway before tackling the woodland trail.

This multi activity venue in Nottingham offers basic covered accommodation with toilet facilities. Spectators are welcome to watch participants leave for their event but will be required to wait in another guest area.
