When segway riding landed on the Into the Blue new activity gift experiences desk, we had no idea what it was all about either! Segways are electric personal transporters, which have two wheels a bit like a scooter, but are somehow self-balancing and here's your chance to try one near Reading in Berkshire.
Segway riding is becoming increasingly popular, as they are compact, ecological (24 miles on a single charge) and pretty fast too, with a top speed of 12.5mph. We’re offering a Segway Adventure Ride using the X2 Segway – a beefed up Segway with alloy wheels, low pressure tyres and rugged trim for whizzing up and down trails and paths.
Your off-road Segway riding starts with a practice to get used to the ‘Leansteer’ way of controlling the machine. After that it’s the big one – a 40 minute country park tour where you’ll be exploring the trails and paths on these human transporters.
If they’ve already done quad biking and 4x4 driving, these mad little off-road transporters make for a rather unique gift idea!
