This off road driving challenge offers something a little different to the usual off road 4x4 driving experience - the chance to drive both a production 4x4 and special, dirt-munching bespoke-built versions around purpose-built courses in Sussex, very close to East Grinstead!

Designed to give drivers a real taste of the world of off-roading, these small group experiences last around two hours, giving you a total of 30 minutes drive time in the three off-road vehicles. The session starts with meeting your off road instructor and a safety briefing, before you tackle the tricky off road terrain of West Sussex.

You'll start by driving the 'Meadow Meander' in a Jeep or Land Rover with side slopes, hills and obstacles for you to negotiate. Then you get behind the wheel of a modified Land Rover 90 to take on the 'Jungle Run' through such deep undergrowth that you'll forget you're off road in West Sussex and think you really are in the jungle. The finale is the chance to do some trials driving in a mad little bespoke caged buggy in a disused quarry area - which includes a near sheer seven foot drop!

The experience lasts for approximately two hours and provides around 30 minutes of drive time per driver. You'll drive three vehicles; a regular Jeep/landrover, a modified Land Rover 90 and a bespoke 4x4 caged buggy. You will be forming part of a group of three drivers, buggy instruction is 1:1, other group members may ride as passenger in the larger vehicles. Hot drinks are provided . Experiences are available on selected weekend dates throughout the year. Sessions usually start at 8.30,11.00 or 2.00. 


The venue is a purpose built off road driving centre located near East Grinstead , between Tunbridge Wells and Crawley.


You must be at least 16 years old and capable of operating a manual gearbox. Drivers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Drivers who are over two metres tall or weighing over 20 stones may have difficulty in accessing all the vehicles. Drivers are asked to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing suitable for outdoor activities and flat-soled shoes that will provide good grip and support on muddy, uneven terrain.


Up to two spectators per driver are welcome to attend on the day and can usually expect a ride in one of the vehicles. There are no indoor viewing areas and as there are vehicles driving around the site, it is not suitable for very young children.
