Quarry Off Roading in South Yorkshire
Get behind the wheel of a legendary Land Rover vehicle and experience the fun, exhilaration and sheer adventure of 4x4 driving. This experience is held on a purpose built course at a disused quarry. It includes a variety of natural and man made terrain including mud filled ruts, rock steps, deep water and slide slopes.
After a thorough safety briefing explaining the theory involved in skillful 4x4 driving, you will be accompanied by a BORDA accredited instructor who will teach you how to handle the wildest off-road situations. Their aim is to provide you with the knowledge, skill and confidence to tackle as many of the massive range of obstacles as possible. There are over 30 different obstacles on site, some of which are so extreme you would find it difficult to walk over them, let alone drive! Although travelling at little more than 5mph you can be guaranteed an adventurous and unforgettable driving experience.
All sessions begin with a safety briefing, the half day experience lasts for three hours, the full day lasts for six hours. A maximum of three drivers will take turns at the controls with the shared activities. With the 1:1 event it's just you and the instructor so you can really push your skills to the limit!
The male and female instructors are able to tailor the event to match the ability of each participant. It doesn't matter if you are a nervous driver or have years of experience at the wheel, you will walk away with a feeling of achievement and a huge grin on your face!
