All the instructors are fully qualified in 4x4 driving and tuition techniques, chosen for their ability to pass on their 4x4 driving knowledge - plus they know all the ins and outs of the course. Being eager to impart their skills to you and these half day experiences being on a one to one basis means you are sure to progress rapidly. Obstacles you never though possible will be easy once you've been taught just how to tackle them in these 4x4 vehicles.
The 4x4s used at this centre in East Kent are usually Land Rover Discoveries. Just like the ones you see on the public roads, but for once you'll get to experience the cars at their very best doing what they were built for, ploughing through mud runs and water crossings, making light of chalk, clay and sand surfaces, then facing hill climbs and side slopes.
There are two vouchers available for these half day 4x4 experiences in East Kent. Buying an off-peak voucher entitles you to a session Monday to Thursdays, whilst an anytime voucher can be used any day of the week including weekends.
Half day experiences last 3 hour and allow for approximately two and half hours driving time. You will receive a short demonstration drive from your instructor before getting behind the wheel of the Landrover Discovery yourself. You will be tackling challenging off road terrain including side slopes, mud, water, steep descends and rutted tracks. This is an exclusive one to one experience with just you and your instructor.
Off Peak half day experiences are available Monday to Thursday. Anytime vouchers can used on both weekday and weekend dates.
Minimum age is 17. A full driving license must be shown on the day. There are no height or weight restrictions. The site is exposed and conditions underfoot can be wet and muddy. Appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear is recommended.
Two spectators are welcome to ride along in the vehicle as passengers, free of charge. Non participating spectators are welcome to view the experience from the viewing points around the course. There is a cabin area providing sheltered seating . Male and female toilets are available onsite. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided. An additional charge can be made on site for those wanting lunch. You are welcome to bring your own food and picnic tables are provided during the summer.
