Tank Battles in Leicestershire

Leicestershire

Experiences Flash element

These tank battle activities are ideal for groups, stags or hens looking for a fun day out, conveniently located in Leicestershire.  Check out the details below, choose your activity and then buy the voucher for the relevant group size.  The half day activities are designed for groups of 6 - 20.  full days from 6 - 40.  Whichever combination you choose you can be guaranteed a thrilling time.

All half day activities start with the excitement of a Paintball Tank Battle using specially modified FV32 Armoured Personnel Carriers which fire 40mm paintball rounds!  Full days include the Tank Battles and a three hour paintball session.  You then have the choice of picking one of the following additional activities to take part in;  an amphibious snowcat driving experience, a hovercraft flying session or clay pigeon shooting.

Tank Battles - take it in turns as part of a three man crew to negotiate a tricky tank course set in a World War II bombing range.  Under the guidance of your on-board instructor you will get the opportunity to drive the tank, aim the cannon, load the breach and fire the 40mm air powered cannon.  Once you are able to successfully operate the tank the hatches are closed and you can engage in full on armoured warfare against an opposing team using your periscopes to guide you.

You will rotate tasks as part of a crew of three with an on-board instructor.  You will be issued with radio headsets, Kevlar helmets and tank suits.  Tank Battle experiences last approximately two hours.

Paintball - paintball games are now one of the most exciting participant sports in the UK.  A group activity combining teamwork, strategy and a sense of adventure.  Stealth and initiative are just some of the requirements in order to be victorious!

This session will last approximately three hours and includes 300 paintballs and all safety equipment.  Paint and pain - what a combination!

Snowcat Challenge - take the controls of this unusual looking tracked amphibious personnel carrier.  You will get the chance to drive it through mud, woodland and water.  This little beast is extremely manoeuvrable and is virtually unstoppable!  The snowcat has traditional style controls so is fairly easy to drive.

Snowcat Challenge lasts approximately one hour over a 1.5 mile course which includes some truly wild terrain that would have regular 4x4 vehicles begging for mercy!

Hovercraft Driving - so you thought driving a tank with the hatch down was tricky?  Now try floating on a cushion of air with no grip, combining your body and interesting steering characteristics to manoeuvre.  A hovercraft flight is guaranteed to provide excitement and laughs.  Will you be skillful (or lucky) enough to pilot one of these in the right direction?

Sessions last approximately one hour.

Clay Pigeon Shooting - it doesn't matter if you haven't shot before.  This session will soon have you dusting those clays!  It's a great way to provide a bit of friendly competition between the members of your group.

This session lasts approximately one hour and will give you plenty of time to "get your eye in".

The half day lasts approximately 3.5 hours and the full day approximately seven hours including briefing times. Half day sessions include the tank battle plus one other chosen activity. Full days include tank battles, paintball and one other activity. Minimum group size:  half days six, maximum group size 20, full days minimum six maximum 40.  Your groups may be split into smaller teams and rotate around the activities.  Groups of less than 10 may be combined with others for paintball.

These multi activity events are available on selected weekdays and weekends, March to October.

The venue is just off junction 20 of the M1 within easy reach of Birmingham, Coventry, Northampton, Nottingham, Derby, Peterborough and Milton Keynes.

You must be at least 16 years old to drive the vehicles.  If taller than 6'4" or heavier than 22 stone you may find it difficult to drive some vehicles.  Access to some vehicles involves climbing into tight spaces.  All equipment and safety gear is provided including overalls, goggles, and helmets as required.

Spectators are welcome to take pictures of participants in the vehicles and "see them off".  Toilets and changing facilities are on site.  Hot and cold drinks and food are available to purchase.  Limited camping facilities are available on site. Full days include a hot lunch.   Complimentary tea and coffee is available all day.
