This V8 super car driving experience is unique to the Rockingham Race Circuit in Northamptonshire and offers you the chance to drive this big-engined touring car.

The V8 supercar driving championship is Australia's biggest motorsport and the touring car series pitches Ford against Holden (the Aussie version of Chevrolet), which happen to be the biggest selling passenger car brands in the country. The car you'll be driving is based on a production car, but with the factory spoiler, body moldings, front splitter, air dam and roll cage this is a truly race-prepared V8 super car.

To get used to the circuit you'll be taken out on a instructor-driven familiarisation session, then you'll find yourself revving the V8 engined super car ready to hit the track for your 6 mile driving session at wheel, with the instructor beside you. This V8 super car driving experience is your chance to find out how it feels to be an Aussie touring car championship series driver! This driving experience is one of our most popular gift for men activities.  

The Car: Chevrolet Lumina, 5.7 litre V8, 400bhp, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, 6 speed rear wheel drive, top speed 180 mph,  FIA race spec with full roll cage, race seats and 6 point harness.

Allow spending up to 2 hours on site. The experience includes a 20 minute briefing on driving techniques, 4 mile familiarisation in a saloon car (instructor driving) followed by 6 miles of driving the V8 Chevrolet Lumina Touring Car under the guidance of your instructor. Afterwards you'll be presented with a driving certificate and have the opportunity to discuss your experience. Cars are shared between drivers so there may be some waiting time. There will be other cars on the circuit as you drive. Full day racing car experiences are also available on our main racing page.


This experience is available on selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Am and PM sessions are usually available.


Northamptonshire. Rockingham Race Circuit which is an exclusive professional racing circuit in Northamptonshire where you'll encounter high speed straights, challenging corners, raised kerbs and gravel traps.


Drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least a year, which must be shown on the day. Minimum height is 5' 3", max height is 6'6". Max weight is 20 stone.


This Northamptonshire venue has excellent viewing areas giving great views of the racing action. There's lots to see as there are usually a variety of cars out on the track. Drinks and snacks are available to purchase on the day. High speed passenger rides can usually be purchased on the day.
