Real stock car racing in real stock racing cars on a real racing track near Northampton - that's what this fun driving experience is all about.

You will receive professional driving and safety tuition from real racing drivers and officials.  Once you have been issued with overalls and a safety helmet it's time to strap yourself into one of the BriSCA standard stock cars and head out for the morning practice session. 

After around four laps your confidence and speed will be increasing - now all you need to do is keep to the quickest racing line whilst trying to stay ahead of the competition as you take part in the first of two point scoring heats each lasting eight laps.  Up to six cars will race at once with each driver battling to get to the front of the pack and take the chequered flag using a combination of skill, technique and bravery.

Based on the points you score in the heats the steward of the course will then place you into a Championship Final where you will pit your skills against drivers of a similar ability in an electrifying challenge - do you have what it takes to lift the winner's trophy?  

As well as competing in the stock car racing you will also take part in a range of other driving events including the Reliant Robin Challenge, Powerslide challenge, Stockcar movie theatre, 'push me pull you' drive and Blindfold Driving Challenge. The experience lasts approximately six hours with a 1000 start time, each driver is guaranteed a practice session, and a total of approximately 24 racing laps.  Up to 46 drivers may be present on the day, the experience is operated as a "non contact" racing event.  The event organisers are founders of the British Oval Racing Safety Executive and full members of the Oval Racing Council International.  Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and lunch are included.  All drivers receive a personalised souvenir programme as a memento of their day.


This event operates on selected Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year usually with at least one event per month from March.


The track is a world championship standard stock car venue 3 miles south of Northampton - around one hour from London and Birmingham.


Drivers must be reasonably fit and over 16 years of age.  Minimum height is 4'11", maximum 6'5".  Maximum weight is 20 stone.  Warm comfortable clothing and sensible footwear/trainers should be worn.  A driving licence is not required however you must be able to drive a car.  All protective clothing including waterproofs/overalls are supplied.   You may be asked to sign an indemnity.


Spectator admission is £10 and includes a hot drink a snack and a programme. There are outdoor viewing areas offering excellent views of the action and a small sheltered area - please dress appropriately for the weather. There are also disabled lavatories and wheelchair access to viewing areas.  A bar is available at the end of the day.
