After a detailed briefing on the single seater racing cars, you will head out onto the professional race circuit in Lancashire. Once the instructor is satisfied that you will be able to handle the single seater, you will be allocated one of the school's single seat racers and enjoy a thrilling 20 minute driving session.

All sessions end with the presentation of driving certificates.  

The cars:  Formula Ford Single Seater, 1800cc, 115bhp, 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, max speed 145 mph.  

The introductory race car trial lasts approximately 2 hours and includes a briefing session, 20 minutes driving in the single seater followed by a debrief.  The track is a one mile challenging circuit with numerous fast and technical corners. All driving laps are paced behind an instructor who will steadily increase the speed as the session progresses. Other racing car challenges are available on our main racing car experience page.

A full UK driving licence must have been held for more than a year and must be presented on the day. The participant will need to demonstrate their ability during the session in the saloon car before going on to the single seater.  Height 5'2" to 6'4", max weight 18 stone. Please wear long sleeves top, trousers, gloves and flat soled shoes. Please make provision for inclement weather.


Spectators are welcome at this Lancashire racing venue and there are good viewing and facilities at the circuit.
