Junior Rally Driving Silverstone

Take a Ford Ka for a spin at this junior rally school at Silverstone! Open to any rally-mad youngster between the ages of 10 and 16, you'll love the chance to get behind the wheel of a proper rally car and get those wheels spinning on the gravel.
You'll be part of a group of six juniors and you'll take it in turns to drive the front wheel drive rally prepared Ka, complete with roll bars and rally seat harnesses - this is the real rallying deal! If you've never even sat behind the steering wheel of a car before there's no need to worry, the expert junior rally driving instructors at this centre in Silverstone are very patient and will show you all the basic techniques to get you moving.
All training takes place on the authentic rally stage adjacent to that famous Silverstone circuit and dividing the driving into three sessions means you don't get over tired too quickly - it's quite full on being a junior rally driver after all. If you get on well, you might end up trying out a few classic rally moves such as powerslides and handbrake turns.
A note for Mums and Dads - all instructors are fully qualified members of the Motor Sport Association. All driving takes place on a purpose built off road rally stage area and the junior rally school team at Silverstone includes founder members of the British Association of Rally Schools.

Please allow 2 hours at the venue. After a welcome and safety briefing drivers will take part in a series of three driving sessions, starting with basic car control and then progressing to more challenging techniques. In total each driver will receive approximately 25 minutes of 1:1 driving tuition with a professional instructor. Cars used are dual controlled for safety. All young drivers will be presented with a certificate as a memento of their day.

Experiences are available on occasional Sundays throughout the year as well as during school holidays.

The rally school is opposite Silverstone race circuit midway between Junction10 of the M40 and Junction 15a of the M1.

There is a minimum age of 10 and a maximum age of 16. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. The minimum height is 4’6’’, maximum weight is 14 stone.

Spectators are welcome to attend and watch participants in action from the indoor and outdoor viewing areas. Food and drink is available to purchase throughout the day.
