Skid Pan Lessons West Sussex

On arrival at the Skid Control off road centre near Chichester in West Sussex, there is a classroom briefing covering course content and health & safety. Then it's out to the purpose built skid pan area and time to climb into the rear wheel drive Ford Sierra school car to experience just how it should be done with an instructor demonstration.
Now it's time for you and your group to take it in turns behind the wheel of the school skidcar that has been set up to simulate both front and rear wheel drive skids. With the instructor's tips and advice, you will soon be mastering the art of recognising slides/skids and correcting/controlling them as well as emergency braking.
The course ends with a de-brief and presentation of certificates.

The skid control course lasts approximately three hours with a ratio of 6 students taking turns behind the wheel. You can expect around 30 minutes of drive time per person. This venue uses rear wheel drive vehicles on a low grip skid pan, cradles are not used.
