1 to 1 Skid Course West Sussex

This one to one skid course is ideal any driver wishing to increase their awareness and driving ability in slide/skid/braking situations. We also offer small group courses at the same skid control centre in West Sussex. The course covers front and rear wheel skids, plus all important braking techniques which will help you control the car on the schools extremely slippery skid pan. As well as being great fun you will learn valuable driving techniques which might one day save lives out on the open road.
As the name implies you will have your own instructor for one hour of intensive instruction using one the schools special vehicles. The rear wheel drive Sierras are set up to simulate the kind of skids you might experience at high speeds, even though you are only travelling at around 10mph on the wet skid surface. This system ensures complete safety during the tuition and will allow you to improve your confidence as the course progresses.
The course aims to maximise your time in the car so after a short welcome and briefing it’s time to head out onto the purpose built skid pan to learn and practice different techniques that are required for different simulated driving situations. Don’t worry, your instructor will provide you with a short demonstration of how things are done before letting you take the controls for yourself and coaching you on the basics - recognising slides/skids and correcting/controlling them. You will have plenty of time to fine tune these techniques and before long should be negotiating obstacles with confidence and controlling the car as it slides around on the treacherous skid pan surface.
The course concludes with a de-brief and presentation of personalised certificate. Don't forget to visit our home page and use our Find Experience tool to see experiences for all the family.

This one hour course operates on a 1:1 basis. After a short briefing you can expect to be out on the skid pan for around 50 minutes. This venue uses rear wheel drive vehicles on a low grip skid pan, cradles are not used.

Not sure if he was trying to say something about my driving, but my husband bought me this skid control experience for my birthday. I just wanted to say I loved it! Thank you. This is third Into the Blue experience our family have enjoyed.
