On this course in Manchester, you will receive instruction from a professional driver with many years' racing and skid control experience. The object of the course is to allow you to react instantly and instinctively to any loss of control situation. Having fun at the same time is a bonus!
Rear wheel drive BMW M3 cars are used to provide demonstration and practical hands on experience allowing you to learn what causes skids, how to recognise the type of skid the car is in, and most importantly, what you can do to regain control of the vehicle and minimise potential dangers.
On 1:1 courses the benefits of braking technique and ABS are also covered before moving onto the finale - an enjoyable timed slalom event which will encourage you to drive over the limits of adhesion and put your new found skills to the test!

Skid Tasters last 1 hour with a car control briefing, instructor demonstration and 15 minutes of hands on driving. 3:1 instruction ratio.
Skid Avoidance Courses last 1.5 hours and include a car control briefing, instructor demonstration, fun skid slalom competition and a personalised certificate. 25 minutes total driving time. 3:1 instruction ratio.
1:1 Skid Course lasts 1 hour and includes a car control briefing, instructor demonstrations, ABS braking demonstration, braking technique session, timed skid slalom and a personalised certificate. 45 minutes total drive time. 1:1 instruction ratio. The skid control school have also negotiated a 10% discount with selected insurers for guests successfully completing skid avoidance and 1:1 courses.
The course runs on selected weekends and weekdays throughout the year. IntotheBlue offers a range of

You must be able to drive a manual car and have at least a provisional driving licence. Minimum height is 5'0" (1.52m), maximum height is 6'6" (1.97m). Flat soled shoes and comfortable clothing should be worn. Not suitable for pregnant ladies or anyone with a neck injury.
Spectators are welcome, full names must be confirmed when booking a date. The training areas offer good views of the skid control action. Food outlets and shops are located nearby.
