This activity taking place near Doncaster, South Yorkshire enables you to put the latest Raptor style quad bikes through their paces on a purpose built off road course which will test your balance, skill and nerves.
The trek is a real beauty, combining the challenging technical gradients of the quarry with bumpy, muddy woodland terrain and fast open ground where you can pick up some speed. Don't worry if you haven't ever ridden one of these mean looking machines before, the male and female BORDA approved instructors at this venue have been teaching off road driving skills in a variety of vehicles for many years.
Your quad biking instructors will demonstrate and explain how to get the most from your experience and will tailor the event to suit all abilities. Smiles are guaranteed!
After an initial safety briefing with an experienced instructor you will be taken on a trek over a purpose built off road course on an easy to ride Raptor style 150cc auto quad bike. A practice session will follow to ensure familiarity and stability and then it's off onto the course where there will be plenty of fast, open ground, steep climbs, descents, mud and woodland terrain to negotiate. The venue is a massive purpose built off-road playground created to test the ability of 4x4 vehicles. There are over 30 specifically designed obstacles many of which you can tackle on the quads. You will be on the bikes for at least one hour.
This activity is available at weekends throughout the year. Groups of five or more can also be accommodated on weekdays.
The main Quarry venue is in Darrington just outside Doncaster. This supplier also operates an alternative farmland quad venue near Retford on selected dates.
Minimum age is 16 years. Maximum weight 17 stone. Type approved helmets will be provided as will goggles and waterproofs, though participants are welcome to bring their own. (Helmets must be type approved). Please wear suitable clothing to cover arms and legs and sturdy footwear. A change of clothes is advisable if the weather is poor as you will get dirty!
Spectators are welcome but views are limited due to the size of the venue. There are male and female toilets on site. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided for participants, but a small charge will be made for spectators wanting refreshments. There is a pub nearby which serves food and drink.
